Nikki Reed and her husband Ian Somerhalder have become parents.
The actor/ activist couple welcomed their first child into the world on July 25. The baby girl was named Bodhi Soleil Reed Somerhalder.
Nikki announced her pregnancy on Instagram when she shared a picture in May of her in a Bayou with Love dress (the sustainable clothing line founded by her) showing off her baby bump. She captioned the picture by saying that she couldn’t believe that she loved someone she had never met.
Ian also shared his excitement by saying that he has never experienced anything so amazing and powerful than having his child.
He went on to say that the couple wants to enjoy this time and cherish every moment as littles ones grow up so fast. He also thanked fans for their kind wishes and positive energy.
The couple who married in 2015, have only been married a year before Nikki conceived.
The couple decided to get married after dating for nine months. The low key couple was often seen at the farmer’s market, relaxing and enjoying each other’s company. The couple bonded over their love for animals and were often looking at new avenues to use their celebrity status to save animals.
They started off their family by adopting a horse and a kitten just after they got married.
The pair is excited to enjoy their new arrival and are looking forward to growing their family even further.
